Water. A simple combination of hydrogen and oxygen, yet so important in the lives of all living things. Most of the human body is made up of water. We use water for drinking, getting energy (hydroelectric power), growing plants, swimming in, and more.
Water is a substance that comes down from the sky (precipitation) in many different forms. One form is rain. I would describe rain as tiny droplets falling from the sky. Another form is snow. Snow looks like small white fluffy particles and it is very cold. Precipitation is very important because this is how we get water, but sometimes water can be dangerous. Water turns dangerous when bodies of water flood and when storms occur.
Water is used in your daily life more often than you may realize. Water is found in the fruits that you may eat for breakfast. You use water in the mornings when you take a shower or brush your teeth. Some items in your house might use hydroelectric power. Also, your body is always using water to carry out everyday functions such as sweating. Did you know that sweat is just water coming out of your pores? Every day our bodies use a lot of water so it is important to drink a lot of water to stay healthy.
We use water so much during the day, we often take it for granted. Although most people in the United States have a seemingly unlimited water supply, many people in third countries don't have this pleasure. In some hot, dry, desert countries, people don't have enough water because they don't get enough rainfall. We should remember this and not waste water. Saving water can easily be done by simply turning off your water when you brush your teeth...etc. We should really try harder to save water because some people don't have it like we do. Take time today to enjoy a nice glass of water and truly appreciate it.
I now know so much more about water thanks Brandi
